Meal Program
Nutritious, healthy meals and snacks are essential for young children’s optimal growth and development. The energy provided by healthy foods ensures that children are ready to fully participate in the day’s learning opportunities. During our meals and snacks, children learn to make healthy choices, discover a wide variety of foods, and develop healthy eating patterns.
Ensuring that each child’s daily nutritional needs are met requires that food servings during every meal and snack adhere to all components of the USDA Meal Guidelines for Children Ages 1-12. Milk is a component of every meal, with a few exceptions during snack time. We need a physician’s note if a family requests that no milk or a milk-based substitute be given to their child.
We are very diligent in maintaining proper hand-washing techniques to provide a healthy, safe environment for food preparation and eating areas.
Children’s breakfast, lunch and snack.
- Breakfast – 7:15-8:30am
- Lunch – 10:30-11:45am
- Snack – 3:00-4:15pm
The menu can only be served during the allotted timeframes. This is a state regulation. If you arrive at 8:31 am, we will not be able to serve your child breakfast.
Please make sure to have all children in by 8:30 am to ensure they receive a meal.
The menu will be posted weekly. If your child has food allergies or religious exemptions, we will need documentation from either a doctor or a religious facility to accommodate your needs.
